Brother Knights,
Andale Knights of Columbus will meet at the KofC hall on Wednesday, October 11th at 8:00 pm. We will start with a rosary followed by the meeting and conclude with refreshments.
St. Joseph Parish will hold their annual Stewardship Fair and Chili Cookoff on Sunday, October 29th. The Knights will have a spot in the Ministry Fair and will make a batch of our delicious chili for the event. If you would like to help, we are looking for two or three member to help run the bar at the Ministry Fair, contact myself or Brother Tony Veith, 316-648-7180.
Our Knights of Columbus Turkey Shoot is planned for Sunday, November 12th. We are currently collecting prizes for the raffle. If you or someone you know would like to donate to the raffle or help with the events, please let me know. This is one of our biggest events the Knights host and although you may not be able to tell by the money ledger at the end of the night, the friendship and brotherhood that we build has no equal. Please bring your family and friends up for the social events. There will be lots of activities for everyone.
We only have a few Kansas Knights of Columbus Religious Education raffle tickets available, if you are interested in buying one they are $100 per ticket I will have them available until October 5th or we sell out. The proceeds of the raffle help to fund religious education programs throughout the state, including ours here in Andale. I want to thank everyone who purchased tickets!
We will be putting on a Tootsie Roll Drive during the Andale High School football game on October 6th. We will also be giving out Tootsie Rolls after masses on October 7th and 8th. Our annual Memorial Mass is going to be Wednesday, November 8th. Mass will start at 7:00 dinner to follow. We will be honoring five brother Knights that have passed in the last year. If you are planning on attending, please contact me by October 11th at the latest so we can be sure to have enough food and seating for everyone attending. Since this date fall on our regular meeting date, we will not have a Council meeting in November.
Brother Justin Reichenberger and his family are taking care of cleaning and booking the hall for rentals. If you need to rent the hall or know someone who does, please contact Justin at 316-258-1170.
