The following information came too late to get into the regular edition of the February newsletter, so now that our newsletter is delivered via email, we can send this update at no cost.
• Our Council will host a Seminarian Breakfast on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the St. Joseph, Andale, Parish Hall from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. If every member of our council came to the breakfast we could make a tremendous difference in the lives of the seminarians that we support.
• The MAN FULLY ALIVE 2024 Men’s conference is going to be held this year on March 2, 2024 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wichita. The conference runs from 8am to 4pm. Featured speakers are Knights of Columbus member Harrison Butker, kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs. Also speaking will be a Hollywood Actor, Producer and Director, and Bishop Carl Kemme. • The second item is a men’s prayer group in conjunction with the Seven Sister Apostolate, titled Fasting Brothers. St. Joseph, Andale has a group of seven women that pray for our parish pastor a minimum of one hour per day. The associated men’s group is called Fasting Brother and six men offer their fast in union with the Eucharistic Holy Hour of a Seven Sister for their priest. Each man chooses what type of fast he will offer, e.g. no food all day, only bread and water, not eating until after 3 p.m. – whatever he discerns from the Holy Spirit. It should be sacrificial. • The last item is the Second Notice for Knights of Columbus dues were emailed on February 5, 2024 to those who had not paid their dues. If you have not received it, please check your “Junk” of “Spam” folders to make sure it did not go into this folder. The notice is sent from the following account, “Knights of Columbus Email” and the subject is “Dues Notice for Council 2217”. Please pay your dues per the instruction on the notice.
