The Andale Knights of Columbus met Wednesday, September 9th at 8:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The following was discussed.

10/24/26 – Bartending – St. Marks Parish Hall
“Pro Football Frenzy Raffle Ticket Fundraiser”: We had the best year yet for this fundraiser raising over $26,000.00 selling almost 1500 tickets. These funds have already been allocated to 2 local families in need and we were able to reserve some to benefit any future family need instantaneously. A lot of effort goes into selling and distributing these tickets so a huge shoutout is in order to Robby Spexarth for coordinating and our top seller Curt Martin for their involvement and dedication.
Opportunities for Involvement
3rd Degree Exemplification –TBD: Our council will be hosting an initiation for new members seeking to join the Knights. We will start with a social after Saturday night mass, conduct the ceremony, then enjoy dinner and refreshments provided by our council. Wives/significant others are welcome to join for the social and dinner. We will have a bonfire on the patio that the ladies can enjoy during the 30-45 minute ceremony. We extend this invitation as an opportunity to meet the new members and engage in council camaraderie. Please extend this invite to potential new members and report back on confirmations so we can plan accordingly.
Bartending Events: We are coming up on a year since we began advertising our council for bartending services. Since then, we have served at 6 weddings, 1 anniversary party, and raised over $4,800.00. We have more events coming up soon and potential others in conversation. It is a great time and a fun way to spend time with other Brother Knights. Ideally we could get 8-9 volunteers per event and work in shifts so please reach out to Ryan Bergkamp at 316-641-4824 if you can help.
Religious Education Raffle: Our council has 7 raffle tickets left for sale. This initiative funds religious education through the Kansas State Council K of C. There are 25 Prizes: (1) 30,000, (1) 10,000, (6) 5,000, (9) 2,000, and (8) 1,000. Tickets are $100/ea and will need turned in by 10/15/26 for the drawing on 12/5/26. Please contact myself at 620-960-9336 if you are interested in purchasing one of these.
Turkey Shoot: Our annual turkey shoot is just around the corner in November. Historically this has always fallen on the second weekend of the month, which is always opening weekend of pheasant season. With other parishes opting out of turkey shoots we have an opportunity to move off of this weekend to draw a better crowd of shooters. We will set a firm date at the October meeting once we confirm openings and resource availability.

Brother Justin Reichenberger and his family are taking care of cleaning and booking the hall for rentals. If you need to rent the hall or know someone who does, please give them Justin’s number 316-258-1170.
