Brother Knights,
Our council will meet at the K of C hall on Wednesday, January 13th to discuss the following:
Annual Free Throw Contest – Our council will be hosting the local free throw contest on January 25th at 1:00pm in the Andale Middle School gymnasium. Ages 14 and under will be allowed to compete. Registration and warmup for the event will start at noon. Ages 9-14 are competing for a chance to move on to the district competition to be held on February 8th also at the Andale Middle School Gymnasium.
Additional opportunities for council income to continue our mission in providing for the community when called to action. Concerning the 2025 financial report, re-evaluation and preemptive action is needed to provide more stability financially for the council. With inflation to operating costs, long overdue building update projects, and goals to provide to those in need, it is in our best interest to continue raising funds with multiple benefits/service offerings throughout the year. Huge shoutout to Ryan Bergkamp for running down the bartender opportunity and all that is involved in the compliance to protect the council. This is procuring into a viable option for our council to bring in recurring funds on a ongoing basis.
We currently have a small committee evaluating other potential opportunities, If you would like to be involved and able to commit to joining/spearheading events, please let me know. All options will be voted on at council monthly meetings prior to implementation.
Request for Member Involvement:
Sunday bingo has begun, and we are still searching for additional help this season. Bingo takes place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from January to April. We are looking for a team of 4 members to run 1 of these months so just 2 sessions. Please reach out to Bryce Seiler or myself if interested in heading a team or as a helper.
To better advertise our events, We would like to start a team to get the word out to help our attendance and overall success of each event. Ideally, 3-4 members from different parishes or with networks to expand our reach. This would entail getting these messages in surrounding bulletins, posting flyers in local businesses, setting signs on church grounds on the day off, and creative network marketing on social media. Please let me know if you are interested in helping with this.
Brother Justin Reichenberger and his family have been & currently are taking care of cleaning and booking the hall for rentals. He would like to find a replacement situation in the near future. If you feel called please reach out to him. If you need to rent the hall or know someone who does, please contact Justin at 316-258-1170.
MEMBERSHIP DUES: All members should be receiving dues notices via mail or email. Please be prompt in returning these.
God Bless,
