Brother Knights,
This is Pete Hilger and I’d like to introduce myself as the next Grand Knight for our council for the next couple years. I’m excited for my term and the opportunity it brings for collaboration to continue serving our communities and parishes.
The Andale Knights of Columbus will resume meeting Wednesday, August, 13th at 8:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall. We will start with a rosary followed by the meeting and conclude with refreshments.
Once again, we are participating in the “Pro Football Frenzy Raffle Ticket Fundraiser”. This is the biggest fundraiser for our council over the last several years and it allows us to be generous with our donations. That money has stayed in our community and helped a lot of good causes, so please help sell tickets and support this cause. Not only does the money go towards good causes throughout the year but also with the updates necessary to the K of C hall. Last year we were able make improvements to the exterior of the building and would like to continue with simple renovations . If you would like to purchase or sell more tickets, please contact Robby Spexarth or myself. We will work with you to get you as many tickets as you would like. Though we break for the summer, our council hosted a 3 on 3 basketball tournament for grades 4th – 12th at the Andale summer fest on August 2nd. We had a great turnout with over 45 kids signing up to play with prizes donated by local businesses. This was a great example of members taking initiative and getting active in the community to spread our name and gain exposure. This was also a great opportunity to speak about and hand out Knights information and sell pro football frenzy raffle tickets. Huge shoutout to Joe Dvorak, Andy Coiner, Ben Setlock, Moe Lallement, Clint Patry, and Garrett Parthemer for orchestrating the event.
We will begin utilizing the parish “flock notes” on a separate account for Knights only to distribute updates and notifications to reach out in a more effective manner. These will be delivered through text message like all parish announcements. A link will also be available to this newsletter every month for ease of access.

Brother Justin Reichenberger and his family are taking care of cleaning and booking the hall for rentals. If you need to rent the hall or know someone who does, please give them Justin’s number 316-258-1170.
